Program-Specific Instructions

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Applicants who have earned 60 credits

GOAL STATEMENT:

State your professional plans and career objectives in 750 to 1,000 words. Include your personal qualities and development and how they have influenced your career choice; your reasons for this particular degree in relation to your academic background, professional work experience, and career goals; and your reason for choosing George Mason University.

  • Goals statement should focus on the health informatics field.
  • Students planning to change their careers are encouraged to contact an health informatics advisor to discuss the program and its requirements. For these students, it is also particularly important to describe in the goals statement how they envision themselves working in the health informatics field.
