CEC Graduate Faculty profiles

This individual plan of study is available for students seeking an enhanced level of cross-disciplinary study. The program offers concentrations across multiple disciplines. If you intend to elect a concentration, select the Information Technology, PhD program with the appropriate concentration from the program menu filter.

Undergraduate preparation should include, at minimum, calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, discrete structures, probability, and statistics, in addition to computational proficiency, including experience with a variety of languages and computer hardware. Additional requirements depend on the proposed study focus. Admission for cross-disciplinary Information Technology, PhD study will depend on alignment with CEC faculty research expertise.

Goals statement: The INFT PhD program is for doctoral level research interests that cross typical engineering and computing fields with other academically-relevant disciplines. The submitted goals statement should be prepared carefully, not exceeding 350 words and describe the following: the applicant's primary areas of interest and post-graduation career plans. Because of the extensive role that an advisor plays, the applicant should also identify two faculty with whom they wish to work.

Recommendation letters should come, preferably, from college instructors.
